Spring is in full bloom, and April brings a season of growth, energy, and new opportunities for our students. As we move further into the final months of the school year, our focus remains on learning, progress, and finishing strong. Classrooms are full of activity, and students are continuing to show dedication and perseverance in their work.
This month is also an important time for our students as they prepare for ACAP testing, while still enjoying meaningful learning experiences and school events. We appreciate the continued support from our families and community in helping our students stay motivated and confident.
Let’s make it a great April!

ACAP state testing will take place April 14th - 17th.
We are excited for our students to show all they have learned this year! This is an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their growth in English, math, and science.
To help students do their very best, we encourage families to support strong routines during testing week. Please make sure students get a good night’s rest, arrive at school on time, and eat a healthy breakfast each morning. Consistent attendance is especially important during this time, as every testing day counts.
We ask that students come to school each day focused, confident, and ready to give their best effort.
We are proud of their hard work and know they are prepared to succeed. Let’s finish the year strong!

This week, we are proud to celebrate Assistant Principals Week and recognize one of the very best, Mr. Davis!
West Point Middle is incredibly blessed to have a leader who pours so much into our students, staff, and school each and every day. Mr. Davis leads with kindness, integrity, and a heart for serving others, and his positive impact can be seen in every hallway and classroom.
We are so thankful for his dedication, encouragement, and the way he supports everyone around him. Thank you, Mr. Davis, for all you do! We appreciate you more than words can say!

This year, we proudly celebrate several of our teachers who are retiring after years of dedicated service to our students and school community: Mrs. Ballew, Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. Cleghorn, Mrs. M. Guthrie, Coach Jones, Mrs. Posey, and Coach Welborn. Their commitment, passion, and countless contributions have made a lasting impact on the lives of so many students.
We are incredibly grateful for their hard work, guidance, and the positive difference they have made throughout their careers. While they will be greatly missed, we wish each of them all the best as they begin this exciting new chapter in their lives. Thank you for everything!

Our Warrior Leadership Team had an incredible day giving back to our community last month!
They started the day by spending time with our local senior citizens, sharing smiles and laughter over a few lively rounds of bingo. From there, they headed to Cullman Caring for Kids, where they rolled up their sleeves to help support our local food bank and the families it serves.
We are so proud of these students for showing what it truly means to be leaders, serving others with kindness, compassion, and a willingness to make a difference.

April gets its name from the Latin word “aperire,” which means “to open” — just like flowers begin to open and bloom all around us this time of year! |
