As we move through the winter months, there is an unmistakable sense of excitement building across Cullman County Schools. Our annual County Basketball Tournament begins Saturday at Wallace State, bringing with it a tradition of friendly competition, school pride, and community spirit. At the same time, our students and coaches are beginning preparations for spring sports and activities, all while remaining focused on what matters most—strong teaching and learning in every classroom. While we look ahead with enthusiasm, we also remain mindful of the season. Winter weather can be unpredictable, and our district continues to stay alert and attentive to changing conditions, always prioritizing the safety of our students and staff while minimizing disruptions to learning whenever possible.
I am proud of the positive momentum taking place across our schools and am confident that the months ahead will be filled with continued growth, achievement, and opportunity. As we do, I want to extend special congratulations to Hanceville Elementary School for being named one of the Top 25 Most Improved Schools in Alabama on the State Report Card. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our teachers, staff, students, and families, and it reflects the powerful impact of focused effort and high expectations.
Thank you for your continued support of Cullman County Schools. We look forward to a strong finish to the school year and to the many successes still to come.
